Burn the fat feed the muscle

Extreme Fat Loss With Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle (BFFM)
Mike Ogorek's 137 pound FAT loss

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what it all boils down to: How bad do you want it?
Is it a priority for you to lose fat? Do you yearn to be fit and show the world your new body? Have you suppressed yourself throughout your life by missing the pool parties, boating trips, playing outdoor basketball, shopping at the malls, and even going on dates and dinner parties because you feel overweight? If so, then I can help you. I just want you to answer this one simple question honestly: How bad do you want to be a lean, mean, fitness machine?
If you didn’t hesitate and you're still reading, I assume you want it BAD!!!!
Trust me, I felt the same way you do now when I was 333 pounds and so fat that the only store I could really shop at was “Big and Tall.” My life was falling apart and I felt my weight was a main problem. I was embarrassed to go out with my wife and kids because I was so proud of them for what they are that I felt that I would embarrass them because I was so obese and disgusting.
At my heaviest around November of 2001 I weighted a whopping 333 pounds at an unknown body fat, wore size 48” pants, and 6’1” tall. One night, I could feel my heart pounding out of my chest and I had an "awakening." I vowed to lose my weight to at least the point where I felt my life wasn’t in jeopardy.
I gave up soda pop, cigarettes, pizza, and fast foods like McDonalds. I still neglected to exercise with the exception of weekly basketball. By August of 2002 I reached a new low of 260 pounds, with tight size 36” waist, but I hit a plateau that I wasn’t able to break. I continued to hold this weight until about July of 2004.
I slowly began to regain my weight until Christmas Day of 2004 when I reached a large 288 pounds again and my pants size was back to a very tight 40” waist. Once again, I vowed to stop the madness and lose the fat! I busted my butt on the stair master and weight machine but still couldn’t get past 277 by March 5th of 2005.
Then I found Tom venuto and his Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle Program.
On 8/26/05 ,after 25 weeks on the BFFM program, I weighed 207 pounds @ 16.4% and I was committed to reaching my goal of single digit body fat!
From September through November of 2005 I tried to maintain my weight and not be so strict on my food. I'll admit I was nervous to see if I would have to stay on this type of an eating plan for my entire life. I didn't have to! I had done the meal planning, calorie calculations and food ratios so much that I was able to eat using my head and not the computer program I initially used to balance the nutrient ratios.
This also gave my skin some time to "CATCH UP" with all my weight loss. It seemed to work because I was much less strict with my diet and since I kept excercising and lifting weights, I gaining muscle. I have to admit, it was fun to snub the people who thought it would be impossible for me to maintan my weight.
That was the begining of what I call Fat los "Session #2."
On December 1st 2005, I was at 212# at 14.6 % body fat. It felt great and I was able to run 20 miles without a problem, but I still wasn't satisfied. So I went back to being more strict with my food but still not using the computer to track my food ratios just my progress. The results were AWESOME again! I hit 197# - 199# several times.
On 3/30/2006 I hit 200 pounds and 7.67% Body fat!
Man it feels great. People keep asking my when I'm going to stop. I just tell them "When I can see ALL my abs!" or sometimes I'll tell them "I'll let you know when I'm done."
Below are the staggering and amazing results I have achieved. Please see the below charts and graphs of my progress as measured by Mike Ogorek on the Friday of each week. The far right point on each chart are my short term goals I have working to. These charts where not begun until BFFM so I have no accurate information before when I was at 333 pounds.
Mike
Ogorek progress chart

I have lost 30.05% body fat, 85 pounds of fat, and gained 7.46 pounds of muscle just since I have been tracking the numbers! I look amazing compared to what I used to. Before March 1st 2005 I couldn't have run to the refrigerator, but now I can run 20 miles without a lot of difficulty.
I have many people everyday ask me what my secret is. I tell them the same thing - I use Tom Venuto's Burn the Fat Feed - Feed the Muscle program and it all boils down to "How bad do you want it?"
In my opinion, there is no secret pill, there is no magic drink, there is no surgery that will make you lose fat and keep it off. You must change your lifestyle!!! If you want it bad enough it will happen, and after a few weeks it will become easier by the day. After every compliment, and after every time that stranger gives you an extra look or smile, you will know that this is what you have always wanted to be.
There is no better sense of accomplishment then the personal success you will achieve using Tom's Burn the Fat -Feed the Muscle Program. By using his information there is nothing you can't do in terms of your level of physical fitness. His book is the greatest tool I think you will ever find in your quest to become physically fit. The plan also allows you to customize the program to your own needs and goals. For those who want to lose a few pounds, to the extreme goal that I had, it WILL help you.
Since about the 4th week on the program, I constantly got questioned and complimented on my change in my life. But it wasn't easy to get started. I strongly suggest you complete the goal section of the Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle program to help you get started.
Your food selection choices are endless and I want to tell you that I eat MORE food now than I have ever eaten before even when I was 333 pounds. I now know what the proper foods and nutrient levels I need for my body to react how ever I want it to. As you can see from the above charts I have had a few stumbling blocks and plateaus that I have had to break through and the this program will give you the tools that you will need to break through your plateaus.
How bad do you want it?
I wanted it so bad I could taste it, feel it, see it, and believed it. I wanted to be lean as quickly as possible. But I also have a beautiful wife and three wonderfull children that I adore with all my heart and I work 5-7 days a week, drive one hour to and from work, and help coach football and softball. If I can find the time that so can you. This program will not only help you reach your goals it teaches you how to live a healthy lifestyle! You can achieve any goal whether it is a 150+ pound loss or just 10 pounds.
Remember, the magic pill, potion, drink, or surgery that will KEEP the weight off doesn't exist. If you want it bad enough then please open your opportunities to a new body and life through the BFFM program. I can't speak for Tom in anyway but I can say I am a very successful student of his Burn the Fat - Feed the Muscle program and the results are here for everyone to see. The decision is totally yours and you are 100% responsible for your actions and choices. Make them good ones and good luck.

The Rice Diet vs. Cabbage Soup Plan

The Rice Diet vs. Cabbage Soup Plan
(The Rice Diet vs. Mayo Clinic)

Our Review:

First of all, the Rice Diet is actually not a diet based on rice.

The Rice Diet was created by Duke University and it's designed to help people with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and obesity.

But it's not a typical diet which people can follow from the comfort of their own homes -- because it's a medically supervised program which is administered by doctors and nutrition experts from a placed called the Rice House in Durham, North Carolina.  In other words, you must travel to the Rice Diet Center to participate in this weight loss program.

Overweight people from around the world do visit the Rice Diet Center to participate in health classes and workshops, and to be supervised by nutrition experts while following the program.   Dieters stay there for an average of 4-8 weeks.

This program consists of 2 phases.

The first phase consists of grains and fruits, and should only be done under medical supervision.

The second phase adds fish, vegetables, beans and other carbs to the menu.

This program is probably best suited to seriously overweight people who have been struggling with obesity for most of their lives, or other people who need to lose a lot of weight.  It's certainly not for everybody, and many people may find this program way too expensive.

The Cabbage Soup Diet is much different though, and it's not nearly as healthy in our opinion.   This diet is also known as the Mayo Clinic Program, for those who don't know.

So what is the Cabbage Soup (Mayo Clinic) Diet?

It's basically a 7 day plan which allows unlimited cabbage soup each day.

The reason for this is because there is almost no calories in the soup (very few calories in the soup).  Other foods can be eaten too, but the only food which can be eaten every single day in "unlimited quantities" is cabbage soup.

The menu is a bit bizarre though, because on some days it allows unlimited fruit along with unlimited cabbage soup -- while on other days it allows unlimited vegetables along with cabbage soup.

Yet on other days it allows unlimited rice to be eaten, while on other days lots of bananas are encouraged to be eaten.

Clearly this is an unusual weight loss program, it's basically a quick 7 day diet for people who are willing to lose weight via eating severely lower calories.

We do not recommend using the Cabbage Soup / Mayo Clinic program, and it's our opinion that this type of program is not very healthy.

We think that the Rice Diet seems like a better choice -- but the Rice Diet is not for average people since it's a medically supervised program which is probably best suited to seriously overweight people (or other dieters who have been struggling with obesity for a long time).

So overall it seems that both programs are not a very good choice for most dieters, since there are better choices out there in our opinion.   We therefore do not recommend either of these diets for average dieters.

END OF REVIEW.

The way to cure Obesity is not always by lowering your Daily Calories, and here's why...

Haven't you ever wondered why some people are naturally overweight while other people can remain skinny while eating twice as much?

The truth is that your total "daily calories" is not the deciding factor in whether you're overweight or skinny.

You see, there are 3 main types of calories that you can eat each day.

First, there is protein...

Next, there are carbohydrates (carbs)...

And finally there are fat calories...

The truth is that your body doesn't pay attention to how many daily calories are eaten, but rather your body pays attention to how much of EACH TYPE of calorie that you consume.

For example, if you eat too many sugar based calories (sugar is common in fat free foods) then your body won't be able to use all of those sugar calories, and the excess calories will be stored as fat tissue.

This can happen even if you didn't eat very many daily calories, because if you eat too many "wrong" calories then you'll get fat.  This is why many obese people remain overweight their whole lives even though they eat less than some of their skinny friends and family members.

...And it doesn't have to be this way, because even though it's true that some people have slower metabolisms (and suffer from obesity) they can still get just as skinny as their friends if they just learn to EAT THE RIGHT TYPES OF CALORIES EACH DAY.

You see, your body needs protein, carbs and fat calories too.  Your body needs all 3 types of calories, but it does not need them all in the same proportions at every meal.

Certain types of fat calories can speed up weight loss believe it or not, while other types of "fat free foods" will actually make you overweight if you eat them too often.

Why else do you think that losing weight is so difficult?  Why else do you think that our society is suffering from a serious obesity problem which is getting worse?

It's because the ANSWER to weight loss is the OPPOSITE of what most people think.  Most average people have been brought up to believe that eating "fat" is bad and that eating "fat free foods" is healthy.

That may "seem" logical at first, but in reality the opposite is often true.  Eating "fat" does not automatically turn to fat tissue on your body, and eating "fat free" does not automatically cause weight loss to happen either.

To begin losing weight you must realize this fact and open your mind to a new way of dieting.

If you want to lose weight fast then you must learn to eat foods which have fat burning properties, and these are foods which keep your blood sugar level more stable throughout the day.

You see, if you eat foods which cause your blood sugar level to spike upwards too sharply then you'll feel "energetic" for a short while -- but then afterwards your blood sugar level will drop way too low and you'll feel tired and lethargic for the rest of the day.

The higher your blood sugar rises after a meal, then the lower it will drop afterward.  ...And when it drops you'll feel tired and hungry all over again.  This is why obese people often suffer from "highs and lows" in their energy level.

But if you begin eating fat burning foods (which keep your blood sugar level stable throughout the day) then your energy will be steady all day long, you'll have plenty of energy and you won't ever feel tired of lethargic.

Also, when your blood sugar level is kept stable then your body's natural fat burning engine will begin burning more fat tissue.  That's why these are called "fat burning foods".

Why Calorie Counting Doesn’t Work for Weight Loss...

Why Calorie Counting Doesn’t Work for Weight Loss...

Most people believe that calories are the "enemy", since eating excess calories leads to excess fat, right?   That’s why most people believe that the fastest way to lose weight is to cut way back on calories each day.

After all, if a dieter is eating 2,500 calories per day and they decide to cut back to 1,500 calories per day – then obviously those extra 1,000 calories have to result in weight loss, right?

Well, actually this is not exactly true.

In fact, if you try to cut your calories too much (via starving yourself and skipping meals) then you'll quickly reach a dieting "plateau" (a point where the scale refuses to drop any lower no matter how little your are eating).

Firstly, let’s talk about how the average person begins a new diet...

The scenario usually sounds something like this...

One day you look in the mirror and see that your clothes are fitting tighter than normal, and you look more overweight than normal. ...And on this day you get “angry” with yourself, you’re angry with what you see in the mirror – and you decide that you’re going to lose weight no matter what it takes.

You are filled with lots of motivation and anger on this day, and you feel determined to do whatever it takes to get slimmer.

So what's the first thing you do?

...You begin skipping meals and cutting way back on calories in an attempt to starve yourself thinner, since you're convinced that calories are the enemy.

Anyway, the above scenario is how you begin your “starvation diet.”

On the first day of dieting you feel so “motivated” to lose weight that you decide to skip breakfast.

Unfortunately, this motivation doesn't last for long, because after a few hours your hunger begins making you feel weak -- because your body is not accustomed to "skipping meals" like this, and your body is not accustomed to being without calories for so long.

Anyway, by the time lunchtime arrives you’re so hungry (and weak) that you feel absolutely miserable --- but yet you bravely tell yourself that you can handle this diet (because after all, you certainly don’t want to feel like a quitter).

So you perhaps have a piece of fruit for lunch (or perhaps another small food item instead), since you're still convinced that you can starve yourself thinner.

Finally, hours later when dinnertime arrives you’re so miserable and hungry that you have a major headache – and this is the moment when you finally begin to realize that starving yourself might not be such a good idea after all.

After this first day of starving yourself you feel horrible, but you’re determined to stick to your diet since you don't want to be a quitter so soon -- so you’ll likely hold out for another few days on this diet.

Or, if you are particularly brave then you may even hold out for a week or two.

However, regardless of how long you actually hold out -- you won't get any slimmer and the final result will still be the same.

You see, even after two weeks of starving yourself you won’t have achieved any serious weight loss at all.  In fact, your body will still look the same when you look in the mirror.

Why is this true?

This is true because most of the weight lost during a “starvation diet” is just water weight, and not real fat loss.

You must remember that any “water weight” lost during a starvation diet will be gained back immediately when you stop dieting and start eating normally again.

Also, whenever you starve yourself you cause a “hidden” factor to come into play...

You see, whenever you starve yourself your body will begin burning fewer calories each day.

For instance, let’s say that you normally eat about 3,,000 calories per day.

....But then you suddenly cut way back on calories -- so that you're now eating only 1,000 calories per day.

Guess what happens?

Even though you’re eating 2,000 fewer calories per day your body will begin burning 2,000 fewer calories per day – so in reality your weight will remain the same even though you’re eating 2,000 fewer calories per day.

When this happens the scale will stop going down regardless of how little you are eating each day, and this is known as a weight loss “plateau.”

This is why most starvation dieters cannot make the scale go down anymore after just two weeks of dieting. They all hit a “plateau” where the scale just refuses to go down any further, no matter how little they are eating each day.

Now you know why you’ve always failed when trying to starve yourself in the past, since it’s just not possible to lose weight by starving yourself.

The truth is that “serious” weight loss can never be achieved by starvation dieting.

Serious weight loss can only be achieved by giving your body the right types of calories at the correct times each day, which is something that we talk about below...

Your body is actually like a big “engine” -- and the truth is that your body needs all 3 types of calories (protein, carbs, and fat) to some degree.

To begin losing weight fast we recommend using the new Fat Burning Diet from Fat Loss 4 Idiots -- because it does not require any calorie counting (it's one of the only diets in the world which forces fast weight loss without the need to count calories).
